Lunetta and The Three Day Weekend

In progress since 2006, Lunetta and The Three Day Weekend chronicles the life of a newly hatched Luna Moth as she travels in search of a mate.  Akin to a human’s “three day weekend” , the normal lifespan of a Luna moth has been slightly extended in this adventure and love story that spans the 7 continents in a mere weekend.  Starting with her birth, she navigates by stars and other nocturnal illuminations to find her soul mate.  Based on factual information about the actual species, artfully enhanced with a little “stretch of one’s imagination”, children and adults alike will find adventure, romance and a sense of completeness in this carefully illustrated picture book.
